Conflict Management and Resolution Training

Organizational leaders play an important role in setting the tone for the shift towards effective conflict management and resolution to help build healthy relationships in an organization. Open, effective communication, as well as clear channels for feedback optimizes the opportunity for discussion of issues related to everyday conflict that may arise in the workplace. Every organization starts from a different place and in a unique context, but all have room for improvement. 

FACES delivers conflict management and resolution training in the education, corporate, and government sectors. Participants engage in open and honest dialogue and learn skills to improve effective communication in a multicultural environment.  They discover how perceptions, attitudes and behaviors impact the workplace and the community. Programs are designed to meet the needs of each client and to improve the community as a whole.  


Law Enforcement Training

In today’s contentious times, it is more important than ever to provide our law enforcement officers the tools necessary to address issues of bias and race to bridge the gap between police officers and the communities they serve.  Police training should take seriously the importance of empathy and incorporate it into their core curricula. Officers should be trained to recognize and respond appropriately to concerns expressed by citizens and communities.  Simple steps, such as listening and communicating, can help transform stressful situations into community-building exercises. Such a process should not replace traditional safety and enforcement training, but rather should be a focal point of additional training

FACES provides law enforcement and corrections agencies with one- day training workshops in a unique experiential style designed to have lasting impact. We have POST- and STC-certified instructors available to teach various courses, such as effective communication skills, de-escalation techniques, and understanding implicit bias.  All courses are delivered with an emphasis on building empathy.  FACES can also create customized training courses based on a particular agency’s needs.
