Conflict Management and Resolution Training
Organizational leaders play an important role in setting the tone for the shift towards effective conflict management and resolution to help build healthy relationships in an organization. Law Enforcement Training
In today’s contentious times, it is more important than ever to provide our law enforcement officers the tools necessary to address issues of bias and race to bridge the gap between police officers and the communities they serve. Police training should take seriously the importance of empathy and incorporate it into their core curricula. Officers should be trained to recognize and respond appropriately to concerns expressed by citizens and communities. Simple steps, such as listening and communicating, can help transform stressful situations into community-building exercises. Such a process should not replace traditional safety and enforcement training, but rather should be a focal point of additional training.
FACES provides law enforcement and corrections agencies with one- day training workshops in a unique experiential style designed to have lasting impact. We have POST- and STC-certified instructors available to teach various courses, such as effective communication skills, de-escalation techniques, and understanding implicit bias. All courses are delivered with an emphasis on building empathy. FACES can also create customized training courses based on a particular agency’s needs.
